A black and white cinema-style face seen in close-up moves up and down on the screen in a way that suggests the movement of a skipping rope or of hopscotch, at varying degrees of slowness. The image undergoes constant variation the face becoming more and more deformed until, fleetingly, we glimpse the skeleton beneath. From the infancy of cinema to the collapse of the subject-conjurer, the history of image technology is being played out here, reworked through the temporal filter of video.
